Today I am sharing the Indian Inlay Stenciled Table I just finished! This is another roadside find that was stamped 08/17/60 on the bottom. This table was in remarkably good shape, just, in my opinion, plain!

I didn’t get a great shot of the before, I always get so excited to start painting! Here is the before:

I knew immediately when I received this Cutting Edge Stencil that I would use it on this little table. I thought the two tiers would be great to show off the detail.

First, I gave it a good cleaning-which is very important. You don’t want any bumps or imperfections when painting. Next I gave it two coats of Behr’s Marquee Compass Blue which is a very classic navy.

Refinished Table This is how the beautiful Stencil comes packaged. It really makes it so easy to use. Although there are five separate stencils used to achieve this look, they are numbered making it so simple to use! There are also great videos if you are a more visual person.

Honestly, if you just take your time it is not difficult at all. I put on my favorite Stevie Nicks CD on a snowy Saturday and found it very relaxing! Also, I didn’t follow exactly as it came. I only used 4 of the stencils on the bottom table, as I felt the table was a little small for 5. Another tip I always tell my friends who are nervous to paint or stencil-it’s only paint! If you are not happy with something, paint over it & go again. I have a large piano bench that I am going to use this stencil on next. It is the perfect size for this. If you have used this stencil, please share a photo. I love to see the creative ways people use stencils!
