Monday Movie Challenge Blog Hop-Princess Bride Buttercup(cakes)

Sharing is caring!

Welcome! Last month I participated in a fun movie challenge with 25 bloggers and it was such a hit that we are making it a monthly challenge! A huge thank you to Megan of C’mon Get Crafty for coming up with this great idea and organizing this blog hop! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner we had a poll of the most romantic movies and The Princess Bride won! I had always heard this was a really funny, romantic movie but for whatever reason I had never seen it! So last week I sat down on a Saturday night watching The Princess Bride and laughed my you know what off! There are so many references that I get now like “as you wish”. I honestly heard people say that over the years and I never understood. Plus, I was amazed at the well known actors in this movie from Carol Kane to Peter Falk and so many others! If you have not seen this movie yet you really must add it to your list of must see movies. Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to sit down with your significant other and a bowl of popcorn and prepare to laugh! Here is a link so you can check out this amazing cast!

The challenge is for each blogger to share a creative recipe, craft, printable or DIY project inspired by the film. In this movie, the Princess is played by Robin Wright and her character is Princess Buttercup. I decided to bake some yummy Princess Buttercup(cakes) fit for a Princess!

These would be so fun for a princess party or even just a Valentine’s Day dessert for the kiddos. Every Princess Bride needs a diamond ring, so I added one to the cupcakes along with candy bracelets.

I found the prettiest lavender, pink and white carnations and thought they were perfect next to the cupcakes along with a little chalkboard.

I have a recipe to make 6 cupcakes. I need to get it down to a batch of one or two, because I'll eat them all!
