Movie Monday Challenge-Peter Rabbit Inspired Brunch

Sharing is caring!

It’s time for another Movie Monday Challenge and this month is all about Spring/Easter movies. I immediately chose Peter Rabbit as I have such fond memories of the books when I was a kid. But also because I used to read Peter Rabbit to my kids when they were small. We also had a collection of Peter Rabbit movies on VHS!

Peter Rabbit Inspired Brunch

I’ve had this bunny for a couple of years and when I pulled out my Easter supplies he was the first thing I saw! Doesn’t he look just like Peter Rabbit? I placed him in a centerpiece with cabbage cutting out the center of the cabbage to hold a Mason jar filled with an Easter Lily. I found chocolate carrots at The Dollar Tree. This just reminds me of Peter sneaking in Mr. McGregor’s garden.

I set up a buffet style table using the bunny plates I shared in my Spring Tablescape.

I love to repurpose things and these water bottles are great for holding a single tulip.

This Peter Rabbit banner was so simple to make using free printables. How darling are the carrot clothes pins found at Target? It’s perfect above hanging Mason jars with pretty blue eggs.

I made individual chocolate trifles in small Mason jars adding another Peter Rabbit printable to the lids. Doesn’t everything look better in a Mason jar?

Of course I had to bake a carrot cake complete with a chocolate Peter Rabbit! In case you couldn’t tell this is a dessert brunch for some of my friends. I saw this awesome video using chocolate bunnies as shots and of course had to have them. Here is the video if you want to make them.
