How to Make a

DIY Gnome from an Empty Purex Bottle 

Supplies Needed to Make a DIY Gnome

White Stiff Felt – Pink Faux Fur – Cordless Hot Glue Gun – Wood Bead – Heart Paper Punch – Glitter Paper – Floral Wire – Craft Scissors

HOW TO MAKE A NO-SEW DIY GNOME

STEP 1. CUT THE FELT Cover the Purex bottle with felt and cut it to size to cover about 3/4 of the bottle.

STEP 2. HOT GLUE TO BOTTLE

Hot glue the felt around the Purex bottle. You want it to be snug.

STEP 3.  CUT FELT FOR THE HAT

Cut a template for the gnome hat. The size is about 7″x7″.

STEP 4. ADD WIRE

Add a piece of wire to the hat. This will allow you to bend it if you want.

STEP 5. GLUE THE HAT

Run hot glue along the length of the hat to secure it.

STEP 6. CUT FUR FOR THE BEARD

Measure around the Purex bottle to determine the length of the fur needed and cut to size.

Hot glue the fur around the top 1/4 of the Purex bottle. You want to cover the entire bottle.

STEP 7. SECURE THE BEARD

Once the beard is in place, you can hot glue the gnome hat to meet up with the beard. Glue a wood bead under the hat for the nose.

STEP 8. ADD HAT AND NOSE

Use a paper punch to cut out glitter hearts and add to the gnome hat with a dab of hot glue.
