The living and dining room in our Townhouse is an open concept where we spend most of our time when my daughter is home from College. She will be home tomorrow-yay! Even though she is a Junior, the house isn’t the same when she is not here. We love to hang out watching movies with a log on the fire and our favorite Yankee Candle lit. This armoire holds the television and is one of my favorite pieces that we have had about 25 years.

I picked up the beautiful flocked garland at the after Christmas sales last year and hung sugarbush Pinecones on the doors. On the side of the armoire I have a vintage birdcage that I update for the seasons this time with a DIY Poinsettia Wreath at the base and a lantern inside. I placed a lovely shabby chic bird on top. The Victorian Santa is handmade from about 20 years ago.

I really like creating vignettes throughout the home and this is one of my favorites:

The victorian sign is new this year from Oriental Trading and I’m kind of obsessed with it. I love Victorian Santas and the black and white photo is just gorgeous. I’ll tell you a secret about the demijon-it’s actually an old wine jug that my friend Elaine gave me. I am cheap  thrifty and while I would love an actual demijon, this works just fine in the meantime with fairy lights that are on a timer-how cool is that?

This oversized Chalkboard was another dresser mirror that I turned into a chalkboard. I hung my DIY Copper & Gold Deer Stag Wreath on it.

My home is filled with DIY projects including the cotton boll Wreath shown above. It is cotton balls and pinecones on a Dollar Store foam Wreath! Here is the link for a tutorial if you want to make one:  Cotton Boll Wreath .

I lucked out after Christmas last year and found a box of large bottle brush trees for $5! I placed several in a long basket filled with snow (poly fil).

This deer silhouette is probably my all time favorite DIY project.  I look forward to taking it out each Season. I made it three years ago from an old dresser mirror using Chalkboard paint.

Now onto the Christmas Tree! I love to change it up each year using all of the ornaments I have collected throughout the years, but going with a different theme. I really want a flocked Christmas Tree, but it just wasn’t in the budget this year, so I decided to create a snow themed tree.

I have always been very sentimental and love to collect ornaments from our travels and of family milestones. Here are a few of my favorites-a beefeater from London, the Statue of Liberty and “licenses” from the year my kids got their license-so many great memories!

I used poly-fil to create clouds of snow along with silver and white ribbon. It is tough to photograph but really is so soft and pretty.

This is always fun to see. I love seeing how other people decorate their homes for Christmas. I can remember going around neighborhoods and seeing everyone's lights outside. However, now there are so few of houses that actually decorate outside that it can't be a part of our family tradition anymore. ;(

What a lovely tour! I love the fact that all the decorations you have done are the DIY projects. I really love the addition of polyfill to mimic snow in your tree. #HomeMattersParty
