Every month, a group of bloggers challenge each other to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Check out some awesome creations you might be able to make from your own stash!

It’s time for a Monthly Craft De-Stash, hosted by C’mon Get Crafty!

Thanks for visiting Our Crafty Mom!  This is such a fun challenge.  Once again, I did not have to spend anything for this project, as I had the items on hand.

I’m really working on clearing out the clutter and this challenge is a big help.

If you have visited here before you know I call my Dad my “personal picker”. He finds the best things usually free or close to free. While this is great, he also contributes to my need to de-stash!

He picked up this vintage milk glass spice rack at the auction for $3. While the labels were missing all twelve were included with the lids. Such a great find.

I really do love milk glass and was going to leave the jars as is and just paint the rack, but I couldn’t get this image out of my head of the little jars painted aqua.

So two coats of spray paint later check out these lovelies:

I gave the lids two coats of white chalk paint, along with the rack.

It really is gorgeous in this aqua color and it stands out so much more in my kitchen than it would in white. Plus, it fits perfectly over the stove making it so convenient while cooking.

I was going to print labels, but I wanted  to keep the look clean, so I used a narrow white sharpie paint pen. I did seal it entirely with a clearcoat.

Don’t forget to head on over to the other bloggers so you can see their crafty projects.
