I have been wanting to try to make lavender soap for so long. I actually ordered lavender buds prior to Christmas in the hopes of making some for gifts, but never found the time. I have been using the lavender in sachets & in the little Valentine Hearts I made last week. I just love the smell! I picked up a goat’s milk soap base at Michael’s with a 50% off coupon. It was very simple to make. I just added lavender essential oil as well as 1/4 Cup of lavender buds to the soap. I cut the soap into small cubes first & microwaved at 30 second intervals. I didn’t add coloring as I liked the natural look of the goat’s milk soap & thought it was pretty with the lavender buds floating on top. I just loved the seashell molds I also found at Michael’s. Of course, packaging is just as important! I had fun coming up with different ways to present the soaps & will give some as gifts to my sisters, nieces & daughter for Valentine’s Day. I found the free printables here:
I hope you try out this lavender soap. It smells amazing! If you do, I would love to see pictures. Thank you for visiting Our Crafty Mom! Have a great day!
