I participate in quite a few weekly “linky parties” as you see in all the links at the bottom of this post. I have to say honestly discovering this world of blogging has really been a lifesaver for me. While there is the obvious reason that I blog-getting to share my love of creating with others who understand my excitement over burlap & chicken wire, lol-it is so much more than that. It has been a tough transition the past few years, separating after 22 years of marriage & feeling the pressures of having to support a household of 3 on my own, not to mention the maintenance of keeping up the house, now moving my youngest daughter into College 3 hours away. This blog has kept me busy, focused, excited, allowed me to be home but still have something for me separate from my children. I have been encouraged & inspired by so many it just amazes me. The wonderful comments, emails & “features” have made me smile more times than I can count. I am forever grateful. Ok, can you tell I’m emotional-two days before my baby leaves! Now one such lady who has inspired me, not only with her incredible talent-her artwork is breathtaking-but also with her overall positive attitude, is Lucy from http://www.craftberrybush.com. I participate in her Thursday party & follow her blog. I came across a gorgeous natural fall wreath she shared & she also included a tutorial on how to make it. I made a few changes, as I had a Big Shot Die of leaves so used that rather than hand cutting leaves. Here is mine:
I did use drop cloth fabric as well & used the Big Shot Spiral Flower Die for the canvas roses. I am in love with the canvas leaves & if I have the patience, may make a wreath just with canvas leaves.
