Talk about being inspired! You have to check out her blog. She is the queen of craft videos, which I hope to be brave enough to try sometime.

For now I’ll stay behind the camera 🙂

I went with a classic color scheme in this Thanksgiving Tablescape, which really surprised me.

Normally, I am more of a neutrals girl, but as soon as I made this classic cornucopia there was no way I was going neutral.

The pretty autumnal colors just pulled me in and I happily went with it.

The cornucopia is a simple DIY with supplies from Michaels. It’s such a classic look for Thanksgiving.

The cheers glasses were 70% off at the craft store, making them 88 cents-score!! Great for New Years too!

I love rubber stamping and have a nice collection of stamps from my Stampin’ Up days.

I hand stamped small burlap bags with a maple leaf to use as silverware holders.

I also fill these with chocolates as favors for the guests to take home.

You can never go wrong with chocolate right?

I’ve talked about thrift stores many times. There are certain things I won’t buy there, but dishes are one of my favorite things to find at thrift stores.

Once you run them through the dishwasher they are good as new.

There is a thrift store I pass every day on my way home and it is my favorite.

It is both a blessing and a curse that I drive buy it every day.

They sell dishes 4 for $1. You can make your own service for 8 for $10. It’s crazy.

The negative is the plates are piled about 40 high on shelves and I am not the most graceful person.

Don’t ask me what happened at Hobby Lobby last week-no joke.

Anyway, I stop by a couple of times a week right after they restock (Wednesday and Saturday) to see what new merchandise they have.

I found these fall dishes that were perfect for my Thanksgiving Tablescape:

They pair perfectly with my silver chargers from the Dollar Tree. With a daughter in College, I am always mindful of a budget.

It would be difficult to participate in so many tablescape blog hops without thrift store shopping.

Some day I may splurge,  but for now I am pretty happy with my thrift store Thanksgiving Tablescape.

The white runner is actually a winter scarf and is so soft.

Scarves and small throws actually make great runners.

There are some really cool buffalo check ones that I am in love with.

Don’t be afraid to use things for different purposes. Be a rebel.

I love to use mini pumpkins at each place setting.

Normally I add a name to each pumpkin, but the guests aren’t finalized yet.
