HOW TO MAKE

FELT ROSES WITHOUT A CUTTING MACHINE

Supplies Needed to Make Felt Roses

Hot Glue Gun – Flower Template – Felt  – Scissors **you can also use the rolled flower template if you have a cutting machine**

HOW TO MAKE FELT ROSES

STEP 1. CUT THE FELT Print out the flower template in the linked post below. Place it on top of your felt. Use fabric scissors to cut around it. It doesn't have to be perfect. Once you roll it you won't notice!

STEP 2. TRIM THE EDGES

You can use pinking shears to trim detail around the edges if you like. But even simple rolled flowers will look just as pretty with felt!

STEP 3.  REPEAT THE PROCESS

Also use pretty glitter paper like I show here., or use different color felt. Experiment and have fun!

STEP 4. ROLL THE FLOWER

Add a dab of hot glue to the end of the felt and slowly roll it to the middle. Add another dab of glue at the end. You can make the flower as tight or lose as you like. Even make different sizes!

STEP 5. REPEAT FOR AS MANY ROSES AS YOU LIKE

Continue to roll the felt pieces until you have enough flowers for your craft.

STEP 6. SECURE ROSES TO STRAWS

If you want to make a vase of flowers, hot glue the roses to the top of a decorative straw. I found pretty ones at the dollar store.

Attach the roses to picture frames, hair accessories or glue to large paper clips for a bulletin board!

STEP 7. DECORATE WITH YOUR FELT ROSES

The pretty vase was a gift from my daughter from Homegoods. A mason jar would also work great for this size.
