French Meat  Stuffing Recipe

INGREDIENTS FOR FRENCH MEAT STUFFING

– 1 lb Ground beef – 3/4 lb Ground pork – 6 cups Mashed potatoes, hot – 1/4 cup Chicken broth – Salt and pepper-to taste – Bell’s Seasoning-to taste

HOW TO MAKE FRENCH MEAT STUFFING 

Step 1. In a large skillet, cook the beef and pork over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

You will need 6 cups of mashed potatoes. Don't go with instant-they are not thick enough to go with this recipe.

MIX INGREDIENTS

Mix the pork and beef together with the mashed potatoes until well blended. 

ADD BELL'S SEASONING, S & P, CHICKEN BROTH

This is where the trouble happens...too much seasoning and it is overpowering. Too little and it is bland. I recommend starting out light and adding more as you go. Definitely season to taste.

SERVE AS A SIDE DISH OR BAKE IN A PIE

It is great with turkey and gravy as a side, but it's equally delicious baked as a French meat pie. This recipe will make two 9-in. pies. Divide meat mixture between crusts.

Bake at 375° for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Top with remaining pie crust. Cut slits on top and brush with milk if desired.
