How to Make

DIY Lamp Shade Chandelier for under $10!

SUPPLIES FOR CEILING LIGHT CHANDELIER

– Lamp Shade – Fabric of your Choice – Candle Chandelier – Hot Glue Gun  – Fabric Scissors – Pencil or Marker

STEP 1. TRACE AND CUT THE FABRIC

Simply lay the fabric over the lamp shade and cut the excess.

STEP 2. GLUE THE FABRIC

Begin hot gluing the fabric slowly onto the lamp shade. Be careful not to add too much glue, as you don’t want it to bleed through.

STEP 3. COVER THE EDGES

Finish the edges, I ended up cutting an extra strip of fabric. You can also add ribbon if you like. There are so many fun trim options too!

STEP 4. ATTACH A CANDLE HOLDER

To add a little bling I added a thrift store candle holder to the drum shade. You can find these for cheap at flea markets, yard sales or Goodwill. If you can't find one and want a little bling, consider gluing trim with rhinestones or other jewels. Attach it to the inside of the lamp shade with floral wire.

STEP 5. HANG YOUR CHANDELIER

Hang the new lamp shade to your existing light fixture with floral wire. You can easily attach it to the screws on the old fixture.

I love how it turned out for less than $10!
