Title 2

ADORABLE DIY GHOST HALLOWEEN DOORMAT

Have you priced outdoor Halloween doormats lately? I fell in love with a few ghost doormats at the craft store, but they were a little pricey. So, I made my own for under $10! Let me show you how to make your own the easy way.

SUPPLIES FOR GHOST HALLOWEEN DOORMAT

– DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint in White – Assorted Paint Brushes – Black Sharpie – Wood Ghost Cut Out or Cookie Cutter

STEP 1. PAINT THE GHOSTS

Place the ghost cut out onto the doormat and use your paint brush to paint a couple of light coats. You will need at 2-3 coats of white paint.

STEP 2. REPEAT THE PROCESS

Continue to cover the mat with the cute Halloween ghosts until you are happy with the coverage.

STEP 3. ADD GHOST EYES

Now it’s time to add ghost eyes. I used a black sharpie and added a couple of dots to each ghost. You can also use black acrylic paint.

STEP 4. SPRAY WITH A CLEAR SEALER

If your doormat is going to be exposed to the elements, you want to ensure it is protected. Spray it with about 2-3 coats of clear sealer.

THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT!

Place your new Halloween doormat on your balcony, deck or any outdoor space where you want a bit of spooky decor!

USE COOKIE CUTTERS

If you don't have a wood cut-out you can also use Halloween cookie cutters. How fun would bats be, or even skulls. You can find these at Dollar Tree.

Happy Halloween!
