Welcome. I took an old, run down end table and turned it from drab to fab!
I am so thankful for all the free or near free furniture I get mostly from my Dad.
Refinishing furniture really is a form of therapy for me. I obviously don’t do it for the fame and fortune, lol!
When you take the amount of time it takes to refinish a piece, it is really difficult to make a profit and to be honest, while that would be nice, I refinish furniture because I love it.
It really is a stress reliever for me. There is no better feeling than taking something literally headed for the dump and giving it new life.
The stencils from Cutting Edge Stencils can really take a plain piece of furniture to the next level for little time or effort.
If I had left this piece solid green, it would be pretty, but I don’t think it would stand out as much as it does now.
Today’s piece was in bad shape. Unfortunately, I did not take a before picture, but it was an oak end table and very scratched and worn. Here is the finished piece:
This was such a fun project! I used General Finishes paint here:
I gave it two coats of this beautiful soft green then used DecoArt Chalk Paint here:
The stencil is a gorgeous all over stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils called Zagora and I am in love with it.
I plan to paint a feature wall with this in my niece’s home very soon. Check back for that!
Thank you for visiting Our Crafty Mom. Have a great day!

This is quite a makeover. I like the stencil and colors you choose. It's such a simple concept and idea, but yet one I wouldn't have considered doing.
