March Furniture Refresh Challenge

If you have visited Our Crafty Mom before, you know I love to refinish furniture. I especially love taking pieces headed for the trash and giving them new life! For my project today I took a curbside find-a cute, little end table and updated it with chalk paint and a graphic from The Graphics Fairy. Here is the before:

 It was a solid table with clean lines, but obviously needed some love. I used Americana Chalk Paint in Vintage giving it two coats. I printed the graphic out on standard copy paper and covered the back with pencil like this:

I taped the image where I wanted it then traced over it with a ball point pen. When you are done tracing it will look like this:

How cool is that? I love this method and use it quite often. I used a Sharpie Paint Pen to trace the image. I didn’t want it to appear too new, so I gave it a good sanding. The final step is to add dark wax-as much, or as little, as you like! Here is the refinished table:
