I am so excited to share my Spring Home Refresh with you! The lovely Stephanie from Casa Watkins is hosting a fun Spring blog hop with over 20 bloggers. The unique thing about this blog hop is each day is a different design style. The tour kicked off Monday and will run until Friday. Please see the end of this post for a full line up. You will certainly find some great Spring ideas! Today’s bloggers are sharing Farmhouse Style Spring ideas.
I live in New England and we tend to have very harsh Winters. By the time Spring rolls around I am so ready to freshen up my home!
I love to change out my front door wreath and nothing says Spring quite like forsythia branches! I love the pop of color against the hunter green door!
If you have visited Our Crafty Mom before you know I love no sew projects. The reason being-I can’t sew! Trust me, it is on my list of things to learn, especially now that my youngest is away at College and I have more time. I love to look at the beautiful fabrics at the craft stores and fell immediately in love with the shades of blue in this fabric:
It was also on sale for $6.99 a yard. It is beautifully made fabric in their home decor line. I have made no sew curtains before and knew I would only need two yards of fabric for my living room window. You just cut the fabric in half lengthwise with fabric scissors and hang with curtain rings. It is the easiest no sew project ever!
Of course, I also had to make a few no sew pillows to freshen up the couch. I picked up a yard of coordinating fabric and used stitch witchery to close up the sides. Just changing up the curtains and pillows is such a quick, inexpensive way to freshen up for Spring.
A pretty blue throw over my favorite Ikea Ektorp Chair just begs for you to make yourself comfortable!
I have talked about “shopping your home” before and this adorable lamp is the perfect example. This lamp was in my bedroom and I thought it fit perfectly on the end table, so I swapped it out. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to freshen up your home!
While I am normally not a follow the rules type of girl-at least in my decorating style-I do follow the rule of threes in staging. I found this great article at Apartment Therapy explaining this if you are interested here .
The same rule of threes was applied to my buffet and you can see I love to use trays-they anchor the items so they don’t appear floating.
I shared my Spring Mantel here . However, I made a couple of changes to it, basically just removed the bunny banner-I really wasn’t feeling it.

I fell in love with this gorgeous faux orchid that I found at Homegoods. I just shared the before and after of this French Poem Table The rope handle hurricane is filled with shells and sea glass. One thing I love about my home is every room has something I refinished or a DIY project, such as the vintage chair to the left of the table. Check out the before here
The dining room received a Spring Refresh also. As I have an open living/dining area I tend to keep the colors and decor the same style so it flows nicely. I like to place little touches of Spring throughout the house-including inside the hutch which I revamped with chicken wire.
The dining room is next done in the same shades of blue with a coastal feel. I am still loving my Ampersand that I found at Michaels. I had no idea I had to have an Ampersand until I saw it on the shelf and I waited until it was 70% off! That took patience!
I love to change the decor on the old window in the dining room and added another banner with flowers in the mason jars. I normally keep faux flowers in the mason jars but since it is a Spring tour I figured I’d splurge and buy real flowers! I just love them and so wish I could have them all the time!
The sea glass wind chime tutorial can be found here
I found this beautiful bunny plate at HomeGoods and used my Cricut Explore Air to add the little vinyl bunnies along the rim of the clay pot.
It is a little too early to go outside yet, but I can’t wait to share a Spring Refresh on my deck. It is seriously my favorite place to be! You saw a glimpse of the view in the picture above. It is what really sold me on this place! It’s so peaceful and serene. Thank you so much for visiting Our Crafty Mom for this mini Spring Home Refresh.

That forsythia is divine! I don't think we have it here in Australia. Thanks for sharing at Five Star Frou-Frou this week. Hope to see you again on Friday! Love, Mimi xxx
