SHARPIE BEACH THEMED MUGS TUTORIAL

Sharing is caring!

I wanted to do a tutorial on these mugs as they are so easy & the possibilities are endless.

I imagine making fall & Christmas themed mugs-ooh how about Halloween?!

Anyway, I picked the mugs up from The Dollar Tree. I used a sharpie paint pen.

There are so many colors and I wanted to stick with the blue theme.

It is very important to use the oil based paint pens, not the regular Sharpie markers.

They will not work. Paint pens are very popular & you can find them at any craft store or even Wal-Mart.

I printed out images that I liked-a seahorse was a must! I cut the image & taped it on the mug.

I then traced around it & colored it in. Once your design is complete place it in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes to set it.

It does say you can run it to through the dishwasher at this point, but I will still hand wash mine just to be safe.

If anyone has tried it, let me know. I am curious if it is dishwasher safe. What do you think?

Cute right? If anyone makes any, I would love to see pictures. Have a great day!
