This is seriously one of the easiest ice box cakes you will ever make! You only need 4 simple ingredients. Not only that, but it is so yummy!

How can you go wrong with ice cream sandwiches, cool whip and Oreos topped with chocolate syrup?

Ingredients Needed for Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

You will need the following ingredients listed below to make this ice cream dessert (the exact measurements, nutrition information and full recipe are all in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post).

Ice Cream Sandwiches
Cool Whip
Crushed Oreos
Chocolate Syrup
9×13″ Baking Dish

How to Make An Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

This comes together in about 10 minutes, plus freeze time.

Unwrap Ice Cream Sandwiches: Unwrap 10 ice cream sandwiches—use classic vanilla, chocolate, or mix both for variety. I want to try mint chocolate chip!

Arrange them in a single layer in a 9×13″ dish.

You will have to break one in half for this size dish. Go ahead and finish that other half!

Crush Oreos: Crush a package of Oreos. I find the easiest way to do this is to place them in a ziploc bag and roll them with a rolling pin.

Mix Cool Whip: Add crushed Oreos to the Cool Whip and blend well. Be sure to reserve a few Oreos to go on top of the cake.

Spread Cool Whip: use a spatula to spread the Cool Whip over top evenly.

Top With Oreos: Add more crushed Oreos to decorate the top of the cake and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

Freeze: Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 2 hours, or until ready to serve. Enjoy!!
