This is our first summer in New Hampshire so I am working really hard to get the yard summer ready. We have a nice wooded back yard, but there is no deck.
We are planning a Fourth of July cook-out so I want to have plenty of seating and entertaining areas. I already have a beautiful patio set that you can see from my old home here.
When I spotted this old wooden cable spool at a barn sale for $10 I scooped that baby up! Here is the before:
Here are the easy steps to refinish this into an outdoor table.
Make A Fabulous Outdoor Table From A Wooden Cable Spool
Supplies
Step 1
Wipe down the table to remove any dust or dirt.
Step 2
Give the table two to three coats of paint in your choice of color. I used a pretty aqua called refreshing.
This is such a gorgeous shade and has a nautical vibe that blends well with the rope trim of table.
Step 3
As this table will be used outdoors and also to hold drinks, I gave it two coats of clear wax, letting it dry in between coats.
