Hello friends. Thanks for stopping by! It is hard to believe we are already at Week 6 of the One Room Challenge . It seriously has been a whirlwind but in a good way. The big reveal is next week, so please stop by to check it out. I have kept a couple of things under wraps so I am so excited to share the full reveal!
In case you missed it, here are links to the first five weeks:

Week 5
If you are not familiar with the ORC, it is organized by Linda at Calling It Home and sponsored by House Beautiful. It is a biannual event every April and October where 20 bloggers are invited to makeover a space from start to finish in under 6 weeks. You can also participate as a guest participant, which is what I’m doing. For the first time ever it has been extended to 7 weeks making the reveal date November 16th.

When I was planning my master bedroom retreat, I thought a lot about what would make it feel like a retreat. There is a beautiful bed and breakfast in New Hampshire that is one of my favorite places. When I think about a luxurious retreat, this is what I think of. Probably the thing that made it feel so luxurious was the 4 poster bed with the incredibly soft sheets and beautiful bedding. There is something so comforting about climbing into bed at night with luxury bedding! So I knew the bedding I chose had to be special and let me tell you, this bedding is special!
Hello lovely! Yes that is velvet! What is more luxurious than velvet? I wish you were able to feel this bedding. Not only is the color a vibrant shade of blue, but it is so soft and yes, luxurious! Look at how it was packaged.
Isn’t that so cool? It was seriously like opening a present all tied with a bow. Here is a close up of the dotted quilt:
The bedding is Velvet Embroidered Dot Quilt Set in Inkstone from QE Home | Quilts Etc. QE Home is a Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They have over 70 stores across Canada in most major towns and cities. But you can also shop online at https://qehomelinens.com and they ship orders free to the QE Home | Quilts Etc. store of your choice. I am so thankful to be partnering with QE Home and to have the luxury bedding that I envisioned for my master bedroom retreat!
I hope you enjoyed this post and will stop by next week. For even more One Room Challenge makeovers, visit Calling It Home. It really is amazing to see the progress the bloggers have made.

[…] See how easy that was? The fabric was on sale for 60% off so it was $4 a yard. The total cost of this large pillow is about $8 and it is exactly what I was looking for. I love how it looks on my velvet bedding. You can read all about the bedding and master bedroom makeover here. […]
