MASTER BEDROOM REVEAL

I finally decided to work on the master bedroom to create a little retreat for myself! Luckily, it had great features like beautiful cathedral ceilings & a gorgeous window that I can literally lie in bed at night & see the full moon when there is one! I also just loved the paint color.

I am not sure of the name, but I call it mocha. All I really needed to do was just decorate & update a couple pieces of furniture. I have a maple sleigh bed that I just love & will never touch, but the matching nightstand is starting to show some wear.

I will show the update next week, as it is not quite finished. As you know from prior posts I am crushing on beautiful aqua blue & had leftover chalk paint from my dining table makeover.

It is the perfect color blue called Serene by Americana.

her memory. I think the wings look perfect over this bench.

My brother-in-law was kind enough to hang the flat screen for me

a couple days after I moved in! It fit perfectly over my Annie Sloan painted cedar chest. I do love having this large television in my room as I spend a lot of time in here crafting, etc. so it is nice to have my own little retreat. I hated that the wire was showing, so I covered it with a strip of muslin fabric just using fabric tape.

Lots of DIY projects in my room, including this little dress form lamp & refinished cigar box in the second picture below, as well as the double moss topiary. I believe there are posts on all these projects.

I originally bought this picture for the frame. It was $2.50 at the thrift store, but when I got it home, I actually thought it looked great just as it was so I hung it by my large bureau.

I always have my Yankee Candle warmer on, which just completes the room-nothing beats spiced pumpkin in the fall & honeydew melon in the Summer!

I found the beautiful bedding, including the awesome throw at
Kohl’s & the faux silk curtains at Target. You see that print on the right? Would you believe that was a large poster on clearance for
$4.99 at Michaels? It matches the bedding perfectly! Some things
are just meant to be!

I have since updated the wreath to this natural hydrangea wreath. I tend to get bored easily & like to change things out. That’s the nice thing about being a crafter, it takes little time & money to update your home.

My diy marble lampshade matched beautifully in here, so I took it from the living room & now use it as my bedside lamp. It casts such a beautiful glow at night through the marbles. Here is the link

I found these great tin frames at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. They are the perfect accent for this little wall.

I hung the dried hydrangea wreath that I previously showed over my painted trunk shown here:

I made another embroidery hoop sphere painting it this pretty blue color. These spheres are so fun & easy to make.

I have these DIY sign all over my house. I love inspirational sayings and this is a reminder to me as I start my day.

I am so happy with how warm and cozy this room has turned out. It definitely has the look I was going for!
