I am in full Valentine’s Day mode and have been working on some projects that have been swirling around in my head since I saw this gorgeous red burlap at Walmart the other day. I picked up a yard for $2.97, love a deal! I didn’t want a standard round wreath for my door, but thought a heart shape would be great.
RED BURLAP VALENTINE HEART
I didn’t want to pay for a wreath form and decided just to make one, here are the supplies I used:
A yard of red burlap cut in squares or use a die cut in 3-4″ size. I used Stampin’ Up! Scalloped circle die with the Big Shot. I cut about 50 pieces then filled in as needed. I used a pencil and wrapped pieces around eraser head added a dallop of glue and simply placed it on base. I started from center working my way around. Just make it as full as you like. Easy peasy! I added the little xoxo banner across the front but it is totally up to you.
Heavy cardboard or foam board freehand and cut a heart. I used the 12X12 cardboard backing that comes with Stampin’ Up! DSP. I have used the circle that comes in frozen pizza boxes (not that I ever eat those 😉
Glue gun.
