With a yard of burlap fabric you can make a pretty no-sew valance in about 15 minutes!
I needed a new curtain to go over the kitchen sink & knew I wanted something that would not cover too much of the beautiful view, so I thought a valance would be perfect. I looked at Kohl’s & was shocked at the price of a small valance-$39.99! Even with a coupon that was ridiculous. I looked around on Pinterest, of course, and saw some cute no-sew ones. I had picked up a yard of burlap at Hobby Lobby a while ago & thought I would see how that looked with the blue counters. I just measured the window length & how long I wanted the valance to be, knowing I was going to tie it up with ribbon. I folded it over the curtain rod & used brads to secure it, as I had them on hand, but you could also use safety pins. I didn’t want to hot glue it as I change things up so frequently, who knows where I may use this in the future! Once it was in place, I found some ribbon that I liked & tied it off folding it as I liked. I may go with a thicker ribbon at some point, but I had this on hand & the color worked so I went with it! This cost under $5 & took about 15 minutes & best of all I love it! Have a great day.
