Simple Spring Decorating Ideas For Your Home!
For Spring and Summer I love to brighten up the home with bright and airy white sheer curtains in the dining room, as well as white slip covers for the chairs. After a long Winter, I am craving simple, classic decor. I tend to go all out with Christmas Decor and the house feels very cluttered. Once that is all put away, it is like a breath of fresh air to have the home light and airy. Do you feel that way too?

A little bunny banner added to the antique window is a true sign of Easter coupled with silk lily’s in hanging mason jars. I switch out a Christmas Wreath in the tobacco basket with a pretty cotton boll wreath, that can actually be used all year long.
Nothing says Spring to me more than tulips and these pretty pink tulips are the pop of color I was looking for.
It is perfectly fine to mix real and silk flowers-especially when the silks are of good quality. Look how realistic these lily’s are:
I have a large cabinet in the dining room that is fun to decorate seasonally as well. A few milk glass pieces with pretty silk flowers add more color, but still keep things light.
A few bird’s nests added to ironstone dishes say Spring, without being too overwhelming. I have definitely gone with a less is more concept this Spring. I seem to be craving a pared down sense of decorating this Season. Do whatever makes you happy. That is something I learned early on. You want to feel content in your home, so surround yourself with things you love.
In New England we have been having rainy, snowy cold weather and bringing in greens like succulents is a much needed pick me up from the dreary weather.
I brought back out my hanging bud vase to hang in the picture window and normally pick fresh flowers from the yard to add to each vase. As they are not blooming yet, I added silk rose buds. Even on a rainy day, they still make me smile 🙂
A baker’s rack is another great spot to display vintage milk glass and a thrift store antique scale. Just a few Spring Eggs, florals and these cute little bunny salt and pepper shakers and we are ready for Spring!

Your china cabinet is so pretty! I love the white milk glass and those little nesting birds. Flowers everywhere says it is Spring and yes, that decluttering after Christmas definitely feels fresh. Your details from the cabinet to the bakers rack to the window, wall and table whisper softly that Spring is opening up. It is beautiful and welcoming.

Thanks so much Jordan. I just picked up yellow tulips today for a Spring Tour. They are all on sale now and I love that they last a good week.

I also like spring where the house gets cleaned and de-cluttered after a long winter. Your simple, yet beautiful, table decor is perfect. Really liked all the little touches you added and I could see how easy it would be to follow your lead.
