Today I am sharing a super fun Broadway Table that I made for my daughter.
Welcome to Our Crafty Mom! Today I’m once again teaming up with 5 other Bloggers for our April Furniture Refresh Challenge!
A big thank you to Michele at Shelstring for organizing this fun challenge.
The first week of each month we will be sharing furniture flips with you.
You all know how much I enjoy furniture flips, so I am completely psyched for this monthly furniture refresh challenge!
This is our second month bringing you this challenge. If you missed the first-Here is the link for the March Furniture Refresh.

My daughter will be home from College for the Summer soon and I wanted to surprise her with a mini room makeover.
Most of her furniture she has had since she was a kid and I am updating all the pieces before she gets home.
I decided to start with her nightstand. It is a mission style table that I actually picked up a few years ago for $5 at a thrift store.
Here is the before:
It is a great, solid table, just not my daughter’s style. She is a Theatre/Psychology Major and loves Broadway shows.
I really wanted to do something cool to showcase her love of the Arts. I always think about a project for a few days and wait for inspiration to strike-and it did!
Here is the after:
I was looking at shows that we could go see this Summer and decided to print out pictures from some of her favorite Broadway shows and use Mod Podge to collage them to the table.
First, I gave the table a good cleaning and used a mix of Americana Chalk Paint in Yesteryear and Carbon giving it two coats.
Once that was dry I cut out the pictures creating a collage that fit nicely on the top and bottom shelf.

These are some of her favorite shows! It was tough to narrow it down, but I had to have Rent front and center, as that is her all time favorite.
This also has a lot of memories, as I took her to see Cats and Wicked. Matilda is planned for July.
I gave it a couple of good coats of Mod Podge to seal it. I finished it off with a little dark wax to deepen it.
I can’t wait to see my daughter’s face when she sees this. I have two large pieces I am refinishing in the next couple of weeks.
Please come back to see the reveal of those as well!
We hope you enjoyed this challenge as much as we enjoyed participating and look forward to seeing you the first week of every month for our Renew*Refresh*Restyle Furniture Challenge!
