Welcome Spring! Finally, the weather was absolutely beautiful today.
It felt so nice to open the windows, listen to great music and craft! I know what your thinking, I’m a real wild woman right?
Today I am teaming up with a great group of bloggers for Bling on the Spring where we share projects with bling, sparkle or shine!
I decided to make May Day Flower Cones to hang on my neighbors and co workers doors.
Flowers-even silk-make people smile and as Martha would say, that’s a very good thing!
Check out these little lovelies:
These are so easy to make. Here’s how:
How To Make May Day Flower Cones
- 12×12 Double Sided Cardstock
- Ribbon
- Silk Flowers
- Hot Glue or Adhesive
Cut the cardstock in a square however big you want the cone. I went with 10×10 which is a perfect size to hang on a door. Simply roll it into a cone shape and secure with hot glue or adhesive. I used a heavy cardstock so chose to use hot glue.
Cut the ribbon to the length you want it and hot glue the ends to the cone. Finally, just stick your flowers in and you are done! Would you believe these flowers were from The Dollar Tree? Yup-not bad right? I added a little tag as well that says “Happy May Day friends! Michelle”
Now I have to wait until May 1st to give them out. That is not easy for someone as impatient as me!
Isn’t this paper with the silver glitter so pretty? There is my bling! ?
