Today I’m sharing a quick and easy tutorial for DIY fabric pumpkins using old shirts.
DIY Fabric pumpkins using old shirts are all over Pinterest. I have been wanting to make them for some time.
Luckily we had some old shirts that were perfect for this! The sequin shirt made the cutest blinged out fabric pumpkins!

Cut the shirt into a square-you can go as big as you want. I believe mine was about 4-6″. I don’t sew so I filled it with poly-fil until it had a nice round shape.
Next, bring up the four sides and hot glue it closed. You can either use a small stick for the stem or a wine cork wrapped in twine.
For the sweater pumpkin I used a stick for the stem and tied twine around the sides:
For the sequin shirt shown below, I used a wine cork that I wrapped in twine using hot glue to attach it.
Finally, I cut the beautiful sleeve area with all the lovely beading and hot glued it to my pumpkins.

These are so easy to make and took under 30 minutes. How cute would velvet pumpkins be? I wish I saved my velvet shirts from the 80’s!
I will be checking out the thrift stores for some old velvet shirts.
