Patriotic Tablescape
If you are new here, welcome. If you’ve visited before, you know how much I enjoy setting tablescapes and decorating for each season and holiday.
However, I have to be mindful of a budget so I try really hard not to buy anything new.
That means I have to get really creative with what I decorate with.
My Sister gave me a few pairs of brand new curtains that she wasn’t planning on using. One pair was a bright blue color.
I don’t normally decorate in reds and while I love blue, it is usually more of an aqua or lighter blue.
I had no idea what I was going to use as a tablecloth and then I remembered these curtains.
They fit perfectly on my table and isn’t the color just right for a red, white and blue blog hop? Plus, you can’t get more cost-effective than free.
Now that the tablecloth was chosen, it was just a matter of adding a few fun elements for this patriotic tablescape.
I recently made this Patriotic Wreath using Dollar Store bandanas.
With several pieces left I decided to use them in different ways for this table.
I simply added a few of the larger bandanas down the center of the table. What a difference it made just adding these!
Next, I attached a fabric scrap to each napkin. I wanted this to be temporary so I just used a safety pin to create a “sleeve” for the napkins.
They can just be slipped off prior to use. I love the star one the most!
I used just about every bandana scrap that I had left, adding it to the mason jar glasses, as well as the gorgeous IKAT Pitcher that I received from Picket Fence I love, love this pitcher.
It can be used in so many different ways! Plus, I just saw they now have a matching IKAT Paddle Board that I must have!
My birthday is in July-hint to my family.
A bandana bow was even added to the silverware! You see the mini mason jars?
That is a little shot of the Red, White And Berry Cocktail I shared last week in our Summer Cocktail Series.
The little mason jars are so cute aren’t they? You can find them here.
The Patriotic Pillow was a DIY from years ago using drop cloth. Drop cloth makes the best pillows and curtains. Another thrifty way to decorate!
The pretty navy floral plates are from the thrift store and were 99 cents for four!
Look how different they look in the Summer Tablescape I shared last week with a lemon theme:
You definitely don’t have to buy new dishes-just use what you have.
I really hope this Patriotic Tablescape inspired you to set a pretty table for your friends and family.
It doesn’t have to be a big shindig. My daughter even likes to see what I will come up with when I participate in a blog hop.
She loves coastal decor, so she still says the Coastal Tablescape from last year was her favorite. And you may recognize the dishes.
I would say I got my money’s worth with these right?
You can start at the beginning of the week to see the tablescapes below and come back tomorrow and Friday to see the rest.
I am always amazed by the creativity of these talented ladies!
