As I’ve mentioned before, my youngest is graduating high school in 4 short weeks and will be leaving for College 3 hrs away shortly after. Anyone who has experienced this understands how bittersweet this is.

This is what we have worked for and what we want for our children, but at the same time not having them in the same house or zip code for that matter is a huge change.

I have faith that her Dad & I have raised her to make the right choices. Anyway, my daughter loved, loved Fairy’s when she was little. She had collected the Winx Club dolls & we watched the movies over & over.

I also think there is something magical about them, so when I saw all the gardens on Pinterest I knew I would make one. It does bring back great memories.

I asked Amanda what I should name the fairy & while she looked at me like I had seriously lost my marbles, she did say Annabel, which is perfect!

This was so fun to make. I found the fairy at a local Garden Center, as well as the gnome house. I made the red toadstools out of wooden knobs & corks. How cute is her twig chair? I added a succulent as well as a clay pot walkway.

They're both so cute. Creating a fairy garden would be a great activity to do with a young child.

I love fairy gardens in any shape or form Michelle and I bet Annabel the fairy is super happy with her new fairyscape. It looks lovely

P.S. Wishing your youngest all that's beautiful and happy on her journey into a grown-up world. With a Mom as loving and supportive as what you are I'm sure she'll do well

[…] I have seen garden chair planters before where people put a plant in the chair. I love them & thought this chair would be perfect for that. Then, when I was at the craft store, I saw an entire endcap with fairy gardens supplies. I had a lightbulb moment! I made a fairy garden last year as shown here: Fairy Garden […]
