Set a lovely fall tablescape with sunflowers, artichoke and velvet pumpkins.
Today is another fun fall tablescape blog hop with ten bloggers sharing fall tablescape ideas with you! I went with my favorite sunflowers for a centerpiece.
While I recently shared a fall tablescape, one of the reasons I like to switch things up is to show you just how easy and inexpensive it is to take “staple items” and give your table a completely different look.
Fall Tablescape With Sunflowers

It is very similar to your wardrobe. Some of the best advice I received when I first started working full time on a tight salary, was to buy “staple items” like classic black pants and white blouses and then mix and match. It is the same way with setting a table.
Start with foundation pieces like a table runner or tablecloth. I have several burlap runners and white tablecloths in my stash.
They are versatile and neutral so they can be used time and time again. For this simple neutral tablescape I used a classic crocheted runner.
It seemed to fit with the centerpiece you will see below.
Hand stamped linen napkins add a personal touch. I love using stamps on fabric. It gives a vintage feel.
These adorable wine charms are from Oriental Trading . Next, decide on a charger that will set the stage for the look you are going for.
The Dollar Store has several different charger options including white and sometimes silver.
My favorite chargers to use, especially if I am going for a rustic look, are these wood slice chargers.
Though they are rustic, they can be completely dressed up with china like I used in a silver and gold tablescape here.

Then it’s just a matter of adding your dishes. I received these gorgeous hand painted ceramic bowls from Abodent and they are so pretty!
The rich brown and soft blue colors work perfectly in this fall table, but are versatile enough to use everyday.
Abodent is a great company located in the UK that ships worldwide. They have unique home decor accessories and a wonderful selection of door knobs, coat hooks and drawer pulls.
Now let’s move on to the really fun part-the centerpiece. I enjoy working with flowers both real and fake. Fake flowers have come a long way.
But for this centerpiece I found the most beautiful sunflowers at Trader Joe’s.
A large bunch of 5 was $3.99 and they are huge! For a different look I placed them in an urn with dried hydrangeas and artichokes. It is simple, but elegant with the artichokes.
Sometimes things come together last minute, like the artichoke candle holders.
When I was placing the artichokes in the centerpiece I had a couple left and was thinking what I could do with them-other than eat them.
I had a couple glass candle holders from the dollar store and they happened to be the perfect size to fit the stem of the artichoke.
White candles are placed in the center and I love them!! Not sure how long they will last. I will have to look that up.
The beautiful velvet pumpkins were a dollar at Target! I love the rich shade of blue.
There you have it-a simple, pretty, yet inexpensive fall tablescape with non traditional colors.
I hope you enjoyed this Fall Tablescape and will hop on over to the other bloggers linked below. They are just lovely!

I love the sunflowers and artichokes centerpiece you made. Those wine charms from Oriental Trading are so cute, too. I need to find a neutral table runner to use for this Thanksgiving. Appreciate the inspiration from your tablescape. Stopping by from the #HomeMattersParty linky. Have a great week!
