Hershey’s Kiss Chocolate Snowball Cookies Recipe

  • 3/4 c powdered sugar
  • 1 c butter
  • 3/4 c light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 T milk
  • 60 Hershey’s Kisses

Instructions

Simply beat butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla in a mixing bowl until it’s well blended.

Stir flour, baking powder and baking soda until mixed. 

Add milk to butter mixture until well blended.

Refrigerate until firm about 2 hours.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Shape dough into 1″ balls and press a Hershey Kiss into each ball, covering completely with dough.

Reshape into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Cool completely and roll in powdered sugar. Makes about 5 dozen.

These Hershey's Kiss chocolate snowball cookies will become a family favorite holiday recipe. They are simple enough to make in bulk for a Christmas cookie swap, or holiday party.

Did you add the cocoa to your dough? The recipe calls for it. The pictures you show before baking the dough is white. My dough is chocolate because of the cocoa not white. They also did not hold their shape of a ball. Yes I did refrigerate the dough as directed. As an avid baker I am confused.

@ourcraftymom, Thank you for replying. I will definitely try them again. They did turn out great with the cocoa. You may want to update the instructions as well removing the cocoa. Someone else may get confused not seeing cocoa in the ingredients list. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Oh my goodness! I apologize Terry. I just updated the recipe removing the cocoa. They came together perfectly without the cocoa and definitely hold their shape. I just baked a batch last week for a neighbor and they were a hit. I hope you try them again. Happy Holidays!
