My friend Elaine loves horses and unique pieces for her beautiful home.
I wanted to try to incorporate both for a handmade gift for her and thought I would try a horse silhouette using a method similar to my deer art.
I had one pallet sign left so I painted it in a whitewash to keep it rustic, then used block posters to print the image I wanted.
I covered the back in pencil and taped it to the board, then traced it in pen. See the third picture showing the printed image.
It is so simple to do, then I just painted it in acrylic paint. I love how it came out and am thinking of other images to try.
You can also use chalk as a transfer instead of pencil.
I hope she likes it!
