It’s time for another yummy fall cocktail recipe in our weekly fall cocktail challenge, with 8 bloggers sharing recipes with you.
I can’t believe we are already at week 5 of this weekly challenge. Be sure to come back next week because we are all sharing Halloween cocktails!
I am trying a recipe for the first time so I’m really psyched to share it with you. When I was planning the last fall drink, I couldn’t believe I haven’t shared a margarita yet, because they are my absolute favorite drink.
So I decided to add a fall twist to a classic mezcal margarita.
If you aren’t familiar with mezcal, it comes from the same agave plant as tequila, but it has a smokier taste to it.
My Sister, who is my go to person for all things cocktail, said it’s basically like having the best vodka in a drink compared to the cheapest vodka.
I have to say, I agree with her 100%! It gave this margarita such a kick. Let me know if you give it a try, or if you have any other good recipes that you make with mezcal.
I have this almost full bottle now to finish off, lol.
Apple Cinnamon Mezcal Margarita
I’m happy to say I finally found cinnamon sticks! Just about every fall cocktail I’ve shared recommended cinnamon sticks and I couldn’t find them at my local grocery store.
Believe it or not, I found them at the craft store! Here is what you need:
- 2 ounces Mezcal
- 2 ounces Apple Juice
- 1 ounces Lime Juice
Simply add mezcal, apple juice, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker, and shake until combined. Fill glass with ice and add the margarita mixture.
I like my margarita on the rocks, but you can certainly add salt to the rim if you like. Add sliced apples and a cinnamon stick.
Top with a dash of cinnamon. Enjoy!
