SECRET SANTA THRIFT FLIP

Welcome! Remember last month when we did the Secret Santa Gift Exchange ? Part of that gift included a thrift store find that we could “flip”.

I received a cute little trinket box. Here is the before picture:

I was a little stumped with this one. I wasn’t quite sure what I could do with it other than paint. So, I did what I normally do and think about it for a while.

I shared the Vintage Sheet Music Wreath I made and had plenty of sheet music left.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner inspiration struck! My daughter is in College about 3 hours away. She is a Sophomore and my youngest, so I am still getting used to it.

I like to send her care packages, especially for Holidays. She is a little kid at heart & loves to get packages! She is also a Theater Major so sheet music is near and dear to her heart!

Secret Santa Thrift Flip

I decided to use Mod Podge to adhere the sheet music. Just doing that really updated this box. But, I also wanted it to be like a present, so I decided to add a large sheet music flower to the top of the box.

These are very simple to make.

I attached it to the top of the box with my trusty glue gun. I have to say, I don’t think I could live without my glue gun!
