I wanted to share a few simple ideas for a fun Winter Snowman Mantel. Living in New England we know a little something about Winter! Once all the Christmas decor is put away things look a little bare. I’m not quite ready to jump into Valentines Day yet, so a good alternative is Winter decor.
I wanted to go with a snowman theme, as nothing says Winter like snowmen! I shared these fun scrap wood snowmen last week. I like to flank the mantel with similar size items and these cute little guys are perfect on each end of the mantel. The vases filled with winter stems are a nice anchor.
I made a quick and easy wreath to hang above the mantel with a little snowman family in the center. I found the snowman sled at a thrift store for $5.00! I love to use white fur in Winter decor and just laid an IKEA faux fur rug over the chair. You see the cute snowman pillow?
I painted him today. There is a surprise on the other side. If you have visited my blog before, you know I use both sides of everything! Come back next week for a simple tutorial on this no-sew pillow. A Let It Snow banner completes this fun look. Of course, a cup of hot cocoa by a roaring fire is a must in these harsh Winter months!
