I am very excited to share Spring Decorating on the deck! I have been trying to get the outside decorating done, but the weather has not been cooperating. Finally we are now having some nice weather! I am so blessed to have a large 15×15 foot deck overlooking this beautiful view complete with a waterfall! I can’t wait to enjoy Summer evenings out here with a good book & a glass of wine! I knew I wanted a reading area & my white wooden porch rockers fit perfectly in the corner of the deck. I found the beautiful butterfly pillows at Target. I added a grapevine wreath and some cool mercury glass lights that I found at Home Depot. As it is still early Spring & the weather is chilly at night, I am only going with pansies & petunias for now. I hung three pots in gutter planters that I found on Amazon last year. I just love them-gutters are not very pretty & the beautiful flowers give some interest & color. I put together 3 clay pots in varying sizes and planted the flowers around the sides. I flanked the stairs coming out of the downstairs.

I picked up a couple of flower boxes at Goodwill for half the cost of the big box stores & they were brand new! I like using different items as planters, like this old tool box I found in my garage. I painted it white & stenciled welcome. It looks great on the coffee table. I picked up this 5×7 rug at Home Depot last week to anchor the seating area. I love the extra large off center umbrella that I purchased last year-it spans close to 10 feet & really gives nice shade in the warmer weather. I picked up the cute fairy stake at a country gift shop. It is very cozy here especially at night with the mercury lights on. My favorite is the washtub herb garden which I showed in my last post. Have a good week!

Fairies and pansies two years ago. I chuckled when I saw this as part of Mimi's feature. My summer theme of course always has some fairies and this year my flower choice was pansies. As always a bit behind you lol, two years is just a "bit" right lol
Love the deck, the view from the deck, and all the whimsical little additions.

Wow! What a great outdoor space. I wish I had a view like that. We just see the empty house next door that is starting to fall apart. Anyway, I love what you have done with the deck decor. It looks so relaxing and inviting!

Oh my goodness...i absolutely adore your herb garden. Looking at your beautiful deck styling has me feeling bummed about my current deck situation. haha I had to demo it down this winter and it is just now in the process of being rebuilt. Thanks for the inspiration. It is gorgeous!
