Teacher Gift Shell Memory Jar

Sharing is caring!

My daughter’s last day of high school is tomorrow. She has been blessed with some truly amazing teachers. One amazing lady went above & beyond-Chorus Teacher Ms. Lynn Dowding. Amanda is in Vocal Select as well and spent a lot of time with her including a class trip to NY where they were able to see a Broadway show. Ms. Dowding has various groups that she works with about 3-4 nights a week. Here she is with Amanda after their last concert:

Doesn’t she look so proud & happy? Amanda is going to College & wants to be a Music Teacher & I know Ms. Dowding inspired her! At the beginning of the year she gave each of her “kids” a shell, as she collects them. I knew whatever Amanda gave her we had to incorporate Vocal Select & shells. I printed a picture of the class in their dress uniforms & placed it in this beautiful cracked glass globe I picked up at Homegoods, along with Starfish, Sand Dollars & sea glass.

I think this will bring back happy memories of the Class of 2014! Amanda teared up when she saw it, which made me tear up, ugh! It’s going to be a tough week. Thank you to all the special Teachers out there who go above & beyond!
