While it’s fun to decorate for each season-let’s be honest-most of us have to do it on a budget. With one daughter still in College, I sure do!
Hopefully you will find some ideas from my Easter Tablescape that you can use in your home.
Easter Tablescape – Make your own tablecloth and napkins
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that linen tablecloths and napkins look beautiful on your table. But they can be very pricey and really there is no need to spend that much on something you may only use a few times a year.
I learned a little trick and wanted to share it with you. See the pretty white tablecloth and hand stamped napkins in the above picture?
This is simply fabric that I cut to size to use as a tablecloth and then cut 22″x 22″ pieces to use as napkins.
The napkins were then stamped with a rubber stamp. It’s a fun way to personalize napkins and I do this for most holidays.
I received product from BurlapFabric.com in exchange for this post, however all opinions and love of this fabric are 100% my own!
The fabric used is a gorgeous cotton duck that I received from BurlapFabric.com. This is a really inexpensive way to change out your tablescapes without spending a lot of money.
Did I mention I don’t sew-at all? This is totally no sew. I have some no sew curtains to share with you next week.
Repurpose Household Items
One of my favorite things about this tablescape is the three tiered centerpiece shown below. This cost under $10 to make using cake pans and candlesticks from the Dollar Store.
You can see the tutorial here. Also, I used recycled water bottles as bud vases. They were the perfect shade of green and blue to go with my Spring Tablescape.
Take a look at what you already have in your home before you buy what you may not need.
This tray really sets the stage for my rustic garden theme and I love the little bunnies. This tray will be fun to decorate throughout the seasons.
Buy Flowers at the Grocery Store
I have to tell you I swear by Trader Joe’s for fresh flowers. Have you seen the selection and prices? Amazing! Look at these ? tulips ?
I had enough tulips to put not only in the bud Vases, but also in these pretty Egg cups. That is another tip-you don’t have to use something for its intended purpose.
If you want to use egg cups to hold flowers, go for it! Mason jars as drinkware-absolutely! Color outside the lines ? It’s all about what makes you happy.
