Years ago I found this awesome wood caddy at an antique store. It was stained a dark wood & I refinished it in burgundy to go in my guest bathroom to hold magazines.
As I am updating to a new color scheme of soft blues & greens, I gave this an update similar to my shelf that I just showed.
I love the color Annie Sloan Louis Blue finished with clear wax. Unfortunately I forgot to take a before pic, but it was the same shade as the shelf.
Once I finished it, I really felt it needed a graphic & as I went with the french paper on the shelf I thought I would give it a french graphic to go along with the theme.
I used the chalk method transfer for this & painted the letters in black, then sanded them.
I love my new magazine holder! Amazing what a little paint can do!
