I hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful Holiday Season with friends and family. I have been enjoying some down with family after a very busy month!
This is my second year putting together a top 10 projects post and I really enjoy seeing what was the most popular with my readers.
It also gives me an idea of what you may want to see in 2018. I have so many great things already lined up including a fun New Year Giveaway next week, so stay tuned for that!

Here are the Top 10 Projects of 2017 on Our Crafty Mom:
10. How To Turn An Old Book Shelf Into A DIY Bar Cart
If you have visited Our Crafty Mom before, you know I love to refinish furniture. This roadside find started out life as an old book shelf.
With Silver Metallic Paint and decorative molding this piece was transformed into a small bar cart.
9. DIY Faux Succulent Embroidery Hoop Wreath
Of course craft projects are my first love and I had so much fun making this succulent wreath using an embroidery hoop!
8. Master Bedroom Reveal – One Room Challenge
This was my first year participating in the One Room Challenge and I really enjoyed it! Check out how I turned my master bedroom into a retreat!
7. How To Make A Farmhouse Sign
Home Tours are always very popular and this year’s Christmas Home Tour was my most popular Home Tour to date!
5. How To Make A Three Tiered Tray From Cake Pans
Don’t pass up those cake pans you see at flea markets or yard sales-make a three tiered tray! I used Dollar Store cake pans for this popular three tiered tray.
4. DIY Beach Themed Coasters From Mason Jar Lids
Coastal decor is definitely a favorite on Our Crafty Mom and these cute beach themed coasters were very popular!
3. DIY Lantern From Dollar Store Frames
I ended up making several of these DIY Lanterns as gifts this year in different colors. Check out the easy tutorial using Dollar Store frames!
2. Galvanized Bucket Hanging Succulent Planter
Succulents continue to be extremely popular and this farmhouse style hanging succulent planter was extremely popular. This was my favorite project in 2017 and was featured on Craft Gawker.
Drumroll please…
The most viewed project in 2017:
1. How To Achieve A Stained Glass Look
Save those glass jars or pick some up the next time you see them at the Dollar Store. The possibilities are endless with spray paint, shells and twine.
I was so surprised to see this post received over 308,000 views on Hometalk! Definitely my most popular post this year!
One of the things I learned from reviewing the top posts over the past year is readers like projects that they can duplicate quickly and easily!
It is great to look at the beautiful home decor magazines or television shows, but let’s face it, not everyone can afford to decorate like that. However, we can make pretty things on a budget!
I hope you enjoyed looking over the top 10 projects from 2017. I cannot thank you enough for your support and I look forward to sharing even more fun projects with you in the New Year!
Please come back Monday for an exciting giveaway that will help you get clean and organized in 2018! You will not want to miss this!!
