Last week I had to have “the talk” with my 23 yo daughter.
The talk about her coffee budget.
She works full-time and is also a grad student, so she runs on coffee.
But let’s think about how expensive a daily coffee run is.
She gets a large iced coffee that is about $4.
Of course she’ll add a donut or muffin to it, so it’s easily $6-$7 a day.
Basically $200 a month on something she could easily make at home.
So when she moved into her new apartment, we set her up with a Keurig and her favorite k-cups.
I even ordered Starbucks flavored syrups.
Don’t forget a cute to go coffee mug. I’ve agreed with her that all bets are off when it’s pumpkin spice latte in the fall.
Then I’ll be right there with her getting my all-time favorite iced coffee!
It’s definitely made a difference for her having a home coffee station.
Not only is she saving money, but she’s also saving time by not having to make that stop.
