DIY Baby Shadow Box-Monthly Craft Destash Challenge

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to Our Crafty Mom. It is time for our monthly craft destash challenge and I am sharing a DIY Baby Shadow Box. If you are not familiar with our craft destash challenge here are the details.

Every month a group of bloggers are challenged by C’mon Get Crafty to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Check out some awesome creations you might be able to make from your own stash! #CraftRoomDestashChallenge
If you have visited Our Crafty Mom recently, you know I am participating in the One Room Challenge making over my master bedroom. You can read all about it here.
In the process of this makeover I cleaned out my hope chest and found baby booties for my now 26 yo Son and 21 yo daughter. Instead of leaving them tucked away I thought it would be nice to have new artwork to hang in my updated master bedroom that showcases these trinkets along with their baby photos.

This came together in under 30 minutes which is great! I am bummed I didn’t save the hospital bracelet or hat, but if you do, certainly include those items as well. But I am so thrilled I found a bootie for each!

I plan to include these two shadow boxes in a gallery wall in my updated master bedroom. I hope you will follow me in the 6 week challenge. I have some great DIY projects coming up!

What a wonderful way to display trinkets and memories. I have a friend who does this for every vacation she takes. I'll be pinning your post, so I can find it, when needed <3

This is such a special keepsake. How precious and to see it everyday is so much better than being packed away.

This is a really good idea. I have my kid's baby stuff in a box, including the bracelets and 82nd Airborne hats from the army hospital. I think they will like them when they have their own kids. Thanks for sharing.

I love shadow boxes and this is a great idea for my granddaughter's pics too. I will have to make one for sure.
