I have been waiting patiently to share this beautiful blue-flocked Christmas Tree with you as part of the 4th Annual Christmas Tree Decor Blog Hop.

I’ve once again teamed up with a great group of bloggers to share Christmas tree decorating ideas with you.

Make sure you stop by and check out everyone’s trees.

The links are at the end of this post.

There are trees of just about every style, shape and size to inspire you!

To say I’m loving my blue flocked tree from King of Christmas is an understatement.

As soon as I got this baby set up and turned the lights on, all I could think of was the movie Christmas Vacation, when Cousin Eddie says, “She’s a beautClark!”

I’m so thankful and excited to be partnering with King of Christmas again this year.

Last year I went with their gorgeous flocked tree and kept the decorations simple, but still in my color scheme of blue and white.

When I started thinking about my Christmas tree decor for this year, I knew I wanted to go with something fun and colorful.

After all, 2020 has been quite the year. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and went for it with a blue flocked tree!

Before I get to the tree decorations, I want to share a little about the actual tree itself.

It is so unbelievably simple to set up.

Gone are the days of putting in individual stems into tiny holes.

Am I aging myself here? The tree comes in three sections, which are clearly labeled.

It took me maybe fifteen minutes to set up, without the fluffing.

I can’t mention fluffing, without pointing out the gloves that come with the tree, specifically to wear while fluffing your tree.

How is that for thinking of everything?

My favorite feature is the small button you can step on to turn the lights on and off easily.

Plus, the lights have three different settings!

How to Add Ribbon to a Christmas Tree

I chose to use three different types of ribbon on this tree.

It’s best to use wired ribbon, so you can manipulate it how you want it.

Here is what I went with:

Of course, I had to include a buffalo check and was happy to find a navy and white check:

I find it easier to decorate the tree with the lights on so I know what it is going to look like lit up.

Start by cutting the ribbon in sections about 3′ in length and insert it into the tree starting in the middle.

Just pinch the top place it where you want it and then billow the ribbon under the next section.

Work with one type of ribbon and then repeat this process with the second ribbon working in sections.

Also, cut your pieces ahead of time so you know exactly how many you have to add to the tree.

You don’t want to run out mid way through.

I added the gorgeous navy Merry Christmas ribbon next:

Then the buffalo check last:

The feathers from the dollar store were added for a little fun, but I love how they look:

A few simple ornaments were all this tree needed. I definitely didn’t want to cover up the beauty of the tree itself.

The snowflake tree topper is a DIY project that I’ll be sharing later this week.

The tree is even more stunning at night. I sat in this room, which is my reading room, and wrote this post while enjoying a glass of wine.

Next up is Jane from Sustain My Craft Habit with a rustic cozy Christmas tree. Enjoy!

Amazing!!! I've never seen a blue tree before. Blue and white check ribbon are really cute. I also like the Christmas holidays! I agree that this is a strange year and a good time to have a special day. Thank for organize this great hop!

So pretty. Love that you went with a blue tree. I actually saw some beautiful blue ribbon at HL and thought about doing a blue tree for next year.
