When you have family photos, a lot of times they just stay on your phone or computer and you never truly get to enjoy them. So for my Dad’s birthday I created this gorgeous photo blanket by Collage.com. I cannot wait to see his face when he opens it. He has become very sentimental as he’s gotten older and I do expect a few tears. Let me show you how easy this photo blanket was to make.
How To Make A Photo Blanket
It takes just a few simple steps to create a cherished family photo blanket:
- Choose Blanket Style-I went with sherpa, but they also have fleece and woven.
- Choose Blanket Size-they have a baby blanket, classic throw and queen size.
- Choose Template For Photos-there are so many beautiful designer templates to choose from. I went with Best Pepe Ever as I planned to upload photos of all the grandkids and great grandkids.
- Upload Photos-The thing I loved about this process is you can add as many photos as you like. For example, the template I chose only showed 3 photos, but as I added more the Collage.com program would make the adjustments so I didn’t have to worry about sizing, etc. It was so easy! Plus, it pulls up photos from your Facebook and Instagram so you don’t have to go searching through your phone or computer. How cool is that?

Look at the gorgeous sherpa! Don’t you just want to snuggle in this blanket? I already told my kids I wanted one of these for Christmas with family photos. I hope they listen!
The little cutie below is my great niece, Maggie. She will be one next month! How can you not smile looking at this photo? My Dad is seriously going to flip when he sees this.

It took me about 30 minutes start to finish to create this gorgeous photo blanket. The two good looking people on the left in this picture are my two kids, Amanda and Derek. Just look at the colors and detail:
The blanket was received in about 10 days and came packaged in its’ own drawstring bag for safekeeping. I was amazed at how unbelievably soft the sherpa was. Also, the blanket is thick enough to keep you warm, but not too thick that you will sweat! It is a generous 50×60″ size, perfect to keep on the couch for binging your favorite television shows! All you have to do to care for the blanket is machine wash and dry. You can’t get easier than that!
How darling is my great niece, Lilo? She just turned 3 and is my Dad’s first great grandchild! She was named after her Grandma, my sister, Lori.
