Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is now available to purchase.

Hello and welcome! This is the final week of the Always Eat After 7 campaign and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned.

You can catch up on the prior weeks below:

Week 1. Why I Chose Always Eat After 7

Week 2. What I Learned From Always Eat After 7.

Week 3. Achieve Your Goals Always Eat After 7.

I wanted to start by sharing a couple of quotes from the book that really stood out to me and then comment on them:

“Always Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods.”

My Conclusion

I will admit I was skeptical about this. The prior diets or “lifestyle programs” that I’ve tried in the past all said the opposite.

Basically, don’t eat 2-3 hours before bed, so this was a tough adjustment for me at first. But, once I actually tried it, and let go of the guilt of eating before bed, I realized it was true!

I would wake up in the morning and not even be hungry. In the past I would wake up starving and, as my daughter would say, “hangry”.

This was a big wake up call for me and something I will definitely continue in the coming months.

“Those who ate breakfast ended up eating about 260 calories more a day, the review found. Those who skipped breakfast were about one pound lighter than those who ate breakfast. These findings led the researchers to conclude that eating breakfast isn’t necessarily a good strategy for losing weight. The science isn’t really there. Breakfast could very well be the least important meal of the day.”

My Conclusion

Since I woke up not feeling hungry, I wouldn’t eat breakfast and I didn’t feel like I was “skipping” anything. I would have a healthy, and filling, lunch at my regular time.

I was satisfied and saved close to 300 calories right off the bat! Just changing these 2 eating habits has helped immensely. I’m cutting back on calories, sleeping better, and waking up more refreshed!

This message is one of my biggest takeaways from the book:

“The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis”.

Now that I know this to be true, I can continue on this journey, following these tips and hopefully start to see even more positive results!
