Use pieces of scrap wood to make adorable DIY shabby wood pumpkins. It’s a great way to use old wood.
Welcome friends! One of my favorite things to do is to take something headed for the trash and give it new life.
It is usually furniture, but today I am sharing my Scrap Wood Shabby Pumpkins!

I was visiting my Dad-if you’ve visited here before, he is my official “picker” finding all kinds of cool things for me in his travels.
He is retired and builds and sells the coolest chicken coops you ever did see! Check this out: So, as I was getting ready to leave, I saw a pile of scrap wood and asked if I could use some of it. Not only did he say yes, but he cut them for me into 4″x4″ pieces per my request!
I did my little happy dance because I had been wanting to make wood pumpkins. While I was there I grabbed a few sticks and was on my way to make some shabby scrap wood pumpkins!
The possibilities are endless with this project. You can paint them a classic orange if you aren’t a fan of the shabby look.
I have some larger ones seen in my Outdoor Fall Home Tour-Click Here. You can also personalize them. How cute would these be used at each place setting for Thanksgiving? They can double as a favor for your guests.
