Heart Charcuterie Board
Charcuterie boards are a staple at any of our family get togethers. And, if you follow me on Pinterest or Facebook, you know I love a good themed charcuterie board.
Last Valentine’s Day I created a cute cheese and cracker snack tray complete with heart shaped cookies and candy.
This year I wanted to go with a classic meat and cheese charcuterie for two in a heart shape. My daughter took this over to her boyfriend’s house for date night and it was a hit!

If you are looking for a heart board, I was surprised to find this cute XOXO board for $5 at Dollar Tree in the Plus section.

It even comes with a little spreader. This would make a thoughtful hostess gift for a Galentine’s Day party. Bring the charcuterie board and the hostess can keep the board as a gift.
One of the best things about putting together a charcuterie board is you can customize it for the occasion and the number of guests. Even more so if you know what your guests favorite snacks are.
Another viral trend that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day is a snackle box. I made one for my great nieces for Christmas and they flipped for it. Have you heard of them?

Once the candy is gone the box can be used for art supplies, jewelry or any other small accessories. The pink tool box is from Lowe’s and they have several colors.
Ingredients for a Valentine Charcuterie Board
Here is what I used for this heart board.
- Pepperoni – folded into roses
- Provolone Cheese – also folded into roses with spinach leaves
- Gouda Cheese – cubed
- Plum Tomatoes – added cream cheese to a few
- Raspberries
- Blueberries
- Strawberry Spread
- Crackers

My daughter bought a set of 4 gnome-themed heart plates for me for Valentine’s Day last year. She found them at Homegoods. Aren’t they adorable?

They are just the right size to use for a single serve plate. I picked up the festive heart picks at Dollar Tree.

They can be used for the cheese cubes. Mini ceramic dishes are just the right size for crackers

How to Make Pepperoni Roses
This was my first time making pepperoni roses and I have to say it was easier than I thought. I tried folding them around a glass as I saw a video on TikTok.
But, mine didn’t hold their shape, so I tried plan B and it worked like a charm!

Simply fold each pepperoni slice in half and layer 5 pieces in a row. Then roll the pepperoni vertically and place a toothpick in the bottom.
You can also place the roses in a mini condiment cup as shown above. This keeps the shape and the clear cups are not visible on the board.
I followed the same process with the cheese roses made with thin-sliced provolone cheese. Adding either basil leaves or spinach makes it look like the leaves on a rose.
I used spinach because that is what I had available. But, basil would be great with mozzarella and a bit of balsamic.

That’s all there is to it! A beautiful heart-shaped charcuterie board made in just a few minutes.
