Host a fun and simple adult Easter egg hunt with these inexpensive ideas. Why should the kids have all the fun?!
Easter Egg Hunts don’t have to be just for kids.
Why not host a fun and simple adult Easter Egg Hunt that will become something the adults look forward to every year?
When my kids were little I loved hosting Easter dinner with my extended family.
Hands down my favorite part was thinking of clever ways to fill plastic eggs for the kids and coming up with Easter egg hunt ideas for our yard.
We lived in the country on 2 acres so I had to limit the hiding to the front yard, or the kids would never find them all!

How To Host An Adult Easter Egg Hunt
Let’s start with the supplies I used for these adult Easter eggs.
Then I’ll share even more ideas to fill eggs at the end of this post, so be sure to read to the end.
Adult Easter Egg Supplies
- Extra Large Easter Eggs – you can find these at the dollar store, Walmart, Target
- Golden Egg (for the grand prize winner)
- Candy
- Nips (mini alcohol bottles)
- Paper Shreds
I was psyched when I found these extra large Easter eggs at the dollar store.
Plus, as this is for the Bling on the crafts blog hop, they are already gold!
They are the perfect size to hold mini alcohol bottles-or nips as they are called in Rhode Island.
Of course you have to have candy, because it isn’t an Easter egg hunt without candy!
Simply fill the eggs with paper shreds, add the candy and nips and you are done!
Place the eggs filled with goodies in Easter baskets and set them aside until the day of the hunt.
How to Fill Plastic Eggs for Adult Egg Hunt
- Lottery Ticket
- Gift Card
- Beauty Products
- Movie Ticket
- Slips of paper for a treasure hunt
- Cigars for the guys
- Truth or Dare Questions or other Easter games
- Make it a Scavenger Hunt
- Golden Ticket-have guests contribute to a grand prize!
Another cool idea for an adult Easter egg is to make egg jello shots.
While checking out ideas, I stumbled upon this Easter Egg Mold on Amazon.
You can serve jello shots after the egg hunt! How cool are these?
Easter Brunch Ideas
The Easter egg hunt is the main event, so keep the food laid back and relaxed with a buffet.
If you are having a brunch, serve a variety of foods like bagels, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and muffins.
For beverages you can serve a classic mimosa or mimosa bar and non-alcoholic beverages as well, like fruit infused water, coffee and juices.
Bring out your inner child and enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed these easy Easter party ideas. If so, I’d love it if you would share the below image with your friends.

This has the makings of a really good time lol. I can also see them as being very nice gifts for loved ones who aren't nearby. Or for hubs away at work etc.
