This witches brew Halloween cocktail can be served as a shot, or as a single drink with the addition of lemon lime soda.

It’s sometimes called witches blood because of it’s vivid color, which makes it a spooky drink to serve at a Halloween party.

Halloween is one of those occasions that is just pure fun. As much as I love Thanksgiving and Christmas, they can be stressful.

As soon as October 1st rolls around, I am ready to break out the skulls and witches!

For this witches brew cocktail, I borrowed from my daughters Day of the Dead collection. I knew they would come in handy someday!

Here is the quick and easy recipe. You can adjust the measurements to make this a great party punch. 

Witches Brew Vodka Halloween Cocktail

For The Rim 

Ingredients

limes and sugar
  • 1 lime
  • 3 drops of purple food coloring
  • 1 tbsp of sugar

Instructions

  • Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice into a saucer.

  • Add the purple food coloring and mix.

  • Place the sugar in a second saucer.

  • Dip the shot glasses in the lime juice and then in the sugar.

For The Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1/3 cup lime juice 
  • 1/4 cup raspberry liqueur

Instructions

  • Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker.

  • Add the ice.

  • Shake well and strain into the prepared shot glasses.

To serve the witches brew as a long drink, just top with lemon lime soda and ice.

Add Skeleton Ice Cubes

To complete your witches brew halloween cocktail, you have to add skeleton ice cubes! This fun skeleton ice cube tray was found at the dollar store.

How To Make A Witches Brew Vodka Halloween Cocktail

Yield: 1 Cocktail
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Additional Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

This witches brew halloween cocktail can be served as a shot, or as a single drink with the addition of lemon lime soda. It's sometimes called witches blood because of it's vivid color, which makes it a fun drink to serve at a halloween party. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup raspberry liquor
  • 1/3 cup lime Juice
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 drops of purple food coloring
  • lemon lime soda (for long drink)

Instructions

      For The Sugared Rim

      1. Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice in a saucer.
      2. Add the purple food coloring and mix.
      3. Place the sugar in a second saucer.
      4. Dip the shot glasses into the lime juice and then the sugar.

      For The Cocktail

      1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
      2. Add ice.
      3. Shake well.
      4. Strain into the prepared shot glasses.

Notes

**To serve as a long drink, top with lemon lime soda**
