Hello and welcome to Our Crafty Mom! Today I’m teaming up with a few of my blogging besties to share delicious summer cocktail recipes. Be sure to check out their recipes at the end of this post. A huge thank you to Michelle from Weekend Craft for organizing this summer cocktail series.

There is nothing better than a refreshing glass of sweet iced tea on a hot summer’s night, except maybe if it’s spiked! The great thing about this recipe is you can use either homemade sweet iced tea, or take a shortcut and use premade like I did. There are also several versions you can make depending on your taste. I chose to go with a classic irish whiskey sweet iced tea.

If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you know I’m all about quick and easy cocktails. You don’t have to have a fully stocked bar to enjoy a tasty cocktail. This summer cocktail is the perfect example.

Here is the super easy recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Irish Whiskey – Jameson
  • 1/4 Lemon – cut into wedges
  • Iced Tea – sweet, peach, green or raspberry flavored

Instructions:

  • Squeeze the lemon wedges over a highball glass full of ice, then drop them in.
  • Add the Irish whiskey and fill with sweet iced tea, or flavor of your choice. I may try raspberry iced tea next!
  • Garnish with a slice of lemon and fresh mint if desired.

Serve it in a highball glass, or a mason jar, for a real southern sweet tea. Enjoy this easy and delicious summer cocktail. You can totally make a pitcher of these in no time to enjoy with your friends on the porch, or deck Summertime and the living is easy!
